Reception 

We understand that starting Reception class is a big step for both children and parents. Our aim is to ensure we give your child the best possible start at school.

Building relationships and getting to know the children who join us is a key priority and something that we pride ourselves on. Each academic year we carefully consider how to develop our transition process and invest time in making sure that our children feel happy and confident before they start school. Our transition process includes: a parent information evening in the summer, where practical information for new starters will be shared, nursery visits to gain information from your child's current setting, several opportunities for 'tea and toy's and 'stay and play' sessions towards the end of the summer term before your child starts with us and a home visit before children start school.
